Bethel Ridge is licensed for three levels of care: Residential, Assisted, and Intensive Assisted Living. We are one of the few facilities in the area which offers Respite Care in addition to long-term options.
We have several types of rooms to choose from, including: Private, Private Apartment Suite, Private with Shared Bath, Semi-Private.
Margo Brake
Margo is the Administrator of Bethel Ridge. Margo and her husband John are owners of Bethel Ridge. She has a degree in Sociology and John is a Financial Planner. The Brakes desire is to create a loving, Christian atmosphere for residents needing assistance with their daily living activities. John and Margo live in Vinton, Va. and are the proud grandparents of five.
Crissy Wolfe
Crissy is Administrative Assistant and has been at Bethel Ridge for two years. Crissy lends a hand with activities and any other duty needed as it arises. Crissy is married to Ray, has two children and lives in Botetourt County.
Karyn Nicolai
Karyn, LPN/MA/Nurse Manager, has worked for Bethel Ridge, Inc. for one year. Karyn oversees all of the nursing staff duties. Karyn's nickname is "Kat". Kat has 4 boys, one son lives in New Jersey, one son lives in Florida, one son lives in Australia, and one son attends VMI in Lexington. Kat lives in Rockbridge County.
Darelene Rice
Darlene Rice is the Activities Director and she is doing an awesome job with our residents. When she's not leading activities, she and her husband Tom love spending time with their grandsons, Aiden and Micah, who are three and serious fun. Darlene lives in Botetourt County.
Gina Ostendorf
Gina is Head Cook for Bethel Ridge and supervises two part-time employees.
Gina helps out wherever needed. Gina has two girls and lives in Botetourt County.
Mary Johnson
Mary has been the Housekeeper and Laundry person for Bethel Ridge for almost all of the time that it has been open. Mary had a comprehensive grasp of what's needed to have 'the cleanest facility' in our area. Mary also knows the residents and their clothing needs. Her laundry skills are impeccable. Mary and her husband Fred, live in Botetourt County and are the grandparents of seven.
Barry Shaff
Barry is our part-time Maintenance and part-time Marketing employee. Barry is also a minister in Botetourt County. Barry is our go to person for all physical plant problems and does a fantastic job getting people to know who we are and where we are. Barry is married to Jan and they have four children and two grandchildren. Barry lives in Bedford County.
